About the Director
Nick Dana began his professional training in New York City with Gloria Monty (Director of "General Hospital"). Ms. Monty was his mentor for several years and instrumental in launching his career in the soap opera "Secret Storm".
He has an extensive professional theatrical background of thirty five years, and still performs as an actor, model, singer and spokesman on radio, television, films and the legitimate stage.
After training at the American Theatre Wing and The Abbe Theatre Workshop in New York City, he performed leading roles in such stage productions as "A View from the Bridge", "The Fantastiks", "Hatful of Rain", "The Odd Couple", and "Damn Yankees". He then went on to perform in stage productions in summer stock for several seasons.
He has appeared in numerous dramatic and comedy roles in stage, film, radio and television productions. His television credits include documentaries and commercials for major sponsors including Lees Carpets, Subaru of America, Sears, and The Wall Street Journal. He is currently involved in all phases of acting and directing in the industry both locally and in New York City.
Mr. Dana served as Vice President of The Screen Actors Guild (SAG-Film) of Philadelphia for sixteen years and on the Board of Directors of The American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA-Television) for eighteen years. He remains an active member and supporter of both organizations as well as the Actors Equity Association (AEA-Stage).
